Goldenhair by Brian Byrne

Golden Globe-nominated and IFTA award-winning composer Brian Byrne released Goldenhair on June 16th, 2017. The release date coincided with Bloomsday, the holiday celebrated worldwide in commemoration of Irish author James Joyce, whose poems inspired Byrne’s album.

Originally a suite of chamber works, Byrne’s twenty-one track album sets the stanzas of select poems from James Joyce’s 1907 collection Chamber Music to original orchestrations. Ranging in style from adult contemporary, to jazz, bluegrass and more, the tracks of Goldenhair feature numerous world-renowned, award-winning artists including Grammy-award winning jazz vocalist Kurt Elling, Golden Globe-winning actress Glenn Close, Prince’s singer/songwriter protégé Judith Hill and British musician/songwriter Julian Lennon.
